Lyrics

Ruben and Salomon write their lyrics in English and Spanish individually and collectively. Because Salomon thinks quantitatively and poetically vis-à-vis musically Ruben composes the music to Salomon’s prose. By contrast, Ruben writes his own lyrics and composes the accompanying music.

Because English and Spanish lyrics lose their rhythm, significance, and poignancy when translated from one language to the other, Ruben and Salomon do not translate their lyrics generally. The exception to this is when the translation process produces a more meaningful song.

Music

Similar to writing individual and collective lyrics, Ruben and Salomon produce their original music. Of the two, Ruben has the ability to arrange and produce simple and complex scores. Salomon typically composes rudimentary chord progressions and then hands them over to Ruben who then arduously and adroitly completes the work. Regardless of who creates a particular composition, they are dedicated to producing the best contemporary adult, gospel, and Spanish songs that are possible.

GOSPEL

Ruben and Salomon, along with their three siblings, grew up in a Judeo-Christian home. When their parents where pastors, they sang with their older brother and young sister. Gospel music continues to be a significant part of their lives.

Forthcoming Music CD

Espiga Records and Publishing and Sunflower Recording Studios are producing and recording currently a music CD entitled Eterna Dulzura, when translated into English means eternal sweetness. The songs included in the CD are based on Salomon’s poems that are contained in Love & Friendship / Amor Y Amistad. Sunflower Recording Studios of Hollywood, FL, was retained to record and mix the music CD and the forthcoming audio book entitled Love & Friendship / Amor Y Amistad.
