Beautiful Rose
She is my lovely rose.
She is my heavenly repose.
She entices with every dose.
Security is her favorite pose.
She has a long prickly thorn.
It shows that she’s grown.
That she can stand on her own.
She is beautifully bright
She is my sun light.
She eases my plight.
She erases my blight
She is my daily delight.
She is sometimes yellow.
Over me she casts her soft
shadow
She makes this fellow a bit more mellow.
She is sometimes red.
As we lie together in bed.
She’s a bejeweled crown for my soft head.
She has a sweet smell.
She is beautiful like a sea shell.
From where she came I can not tell.
